Soul Adventure
Women’s Retreats
Soul Adventure is the home of small and exclusive retreats for women over the age of 40. Founded by Angela Maree and Megan van Lieshout, retreats vary from day retreats, held in Glenbrook, to two, four and five night retreats held throughout Aotearoa.
One Day Retreats
Day retreats are run from a purpose-built private space in rural Glenbrook. These are day intensives which include personal evaluation, a breath and body awareness class, a Chi kung class and learning personal tools and skills to build resilience and build on self- development.

Two Day Retreats
Two-day retreats, run this year from a luxury beachfront accommodation, are all about guiding women through a review of where their life has led them through the decades and how they want to experience their life in the coming years.
These retreats offer a mix of breath and body awareness classes, Chi kung, workshops, delicious nutritious food, bush and beach walks, water activities (kayaks, paddle board, boogie boards, hot tub) with load of fun in a small intimate group (limited to 10). There are optional extras on offer which include massages, floatation tank and mud bath experiences. This is a special time to relax and reset for an enlivening future. Retreats start on a Friday evening and finish on a Sunday afternoon. Costs include accommodation, food, learning sessions, walks and water activities. Price: NZ$500

Four & Five Night Retreats
This year’s five-night retreats are in Wanaka. In a similar style to the two-night retreats, these offer women over the age of 40, the chance to step out of their daily life and take the time to re-evaluate what they want from the next few decades and beyond.
These retreats are for a maximum of 10 women, so they are more personal and intimate. These retreats offer more adventure than the shorter retreats to allow women to face a challenge, to grow and to realise they have more resilience and courage that what they may have thought. There is a tramp to a DOC hut with an overnight stay included in these retreats. Some will even require snowshoeing to the hut or staying in the oldest DOC stone hut in Aotearoa.
Time also allows some sightseeing (like the Clay Cliffs, Tasman Glacier icebergs, dawn hikes to see the sunrise over the mountains). These activities are interspersed with workshops and classes to allow women the chance to learn some valuable life tools to negotiate the tougher times in life and to create a future they are eager to experience.
Costs include accommodation, transport (from Queenstown airport and during the retreat with drop off at Queenstown airport), food, learning sessions, walks, tramps and sightseeing activities.
5 Night Price: NZ$2000
